There are many elements to creativity. Writing, storytelling, and creating are just a few forms of expression that we use daily. Hayles Creative Elements pulls the many realms of imagination together to achieve success in various domains. The connector of these pieces is Chief Creative Officer, Tanya Hayles. With over a decade of extensive event industry experience and almost 5 years as a writer in digital media, Tanya is presently carving her path in full throttle mode.
Tanya’s career began being employed as the Fundraising and Special Events assistant for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of York. Learning the inner workings and behind the scenes of how fundraising events came to fruition, particularly while working the ‘Bowl for Kids Sake’ event, aided Tanya in comprehensively applying the ability to acquire the most suitable sponsorship opportunities for clients. At the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as the Fundraising Development Assistant, she worked on larger scale events including their signature Walk, Ride and annual Gala events. Moorelands Community Services granted Tanya the exercise of implementing and executing successful fundraising campaigns, along with support for the inaugural Wildflower Gala.
While writing started as a side-hustle, it has now become an outlet where Tanya connects with readers by sharing her stories and experiences through her popular blog and other platforms. Her blog has amassed a following of international readers and has opened doors to opportunities including Teen Vogue and Buzzfeed Canada.
From some of the most high profile events in Toronto to working towards conquering New York City, slowing down doesn’t seem to be an option. Also an avid sports fan, Tanya’s first grand solo stint as an event producer was realized in Toronto during NBA All-Star Weekend 2016 with her wildly successful NBA All-Star House Party. During football season, she also produces an entertaining and exclusive National Football League (NFL) Women’s Summit open to the less sports-inclined woman to acquire knowledge of the sport.
Planner, writer, and speaker are not the only titles that this renaissance woman holds. Also a mother, she balances being a business owner and community builder leading a Mom’s group that has grown to almost 2000 members in a little over a year. Always steadfast about strengthening her crafts and acquiring new skills, Tanya doesn’t shy away from attending various workshops and conferences in digital media, marketing, entrepreneurship and event planning.
Who is Tanya Hayles? She’s a woman, a mother, an originator, a media maven in the making—simply, a creative.
